Just chilling with my girls!

Hello there my lovely people! After watching my video above, you will probably guess what's this post is going to be about :) First of all, I just would like to say that some of my pictures could have had a better background I know but we are in the middle of the renovation process so apologies for that and I think these pictures captured a nice moment so wanted to use them anyway.

On with the post:

I was finally able to get two of the most adorable guinea pigs ever ( in my mind of course)! I'm not going to lie though and say that it's all Zoella's fault ;) She bought her guinea pigs (Pippin and Percy) back in January I believe and since then I just fell in love with these cute and little creatures and would always pop in to Pets at Home store to watch them play and observe them for a little bit. I did it for about 4 months! I know! I couldn't have any pets back at my student accommodation so I would have to just make the most out of the time that I had when I was in the store. I definitely made up my mind about getting them and so I started doing my research. I think, it's quite an important step no matter how big or small your future pet is because it will give you a fair point of view of whether or not this pet is for you. I took leaflets from the store, did some research online and watched a few YouTube videos in order to make up my mind completely.

It's so amazing to observe them and laugh at them, yes at them not with them as that would be weird! They make the most cute noises ever when communicating with each other, expressing their joy and happiness and of course when they are hungry.

I've only had them for about a week now and I can already see their personalities and what they like and don't like. Guinea pigs are very sociable animals and would suit anyone including families with small children.

If you're thinking about getting a small pet then guinea pigs might be the ones for you! Go to a pet's store and have a look for yourselves :)
Are you a small pet lover?
Let me know:)

Guess what? It's Liebster Award

Hi there my lovely people!

I was just browsing through my feed on bloglovin' and guess what I saw?! I've been nominated to take part in Liebster tag/award :D Now that's a first one for me and I'm not really sure where this award comes from but I will take part in this nonetheless because I'm adventurous like that :p
I've been nominated by the wonderful Karun Advani , go and check out his blog if you're interested in all things positive:)

Anyway, the rules of this Award are as follows:
1. You must answer all 11 questions given to you by the person who nominated you.
2. You must link back to the person who nominated you.
3. After completing these questions you must nominate 11 bloggers (with under 200 followers) and give them 11 questions of your choice.
4. You can not nominate the person who nominated you.
5. You must let your nominees know that they have been nominated and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it.

Here are the questions that I got:
  • Favourite dish?
Nothing beats a good cooked white rice with fried vegetables.
  • What kind of music do you like?
I like all kind of music except hard rock!
  • What funny/quirky talents do you have?
I'm just boring like that and I'm going to say that I don't have any :(
  • Do you love and subscribe to any Youtubers?
OF COURSE I LOVE YOUTUBE. Sorry I had to write it in capital letters as it emphasises my love for it :) I have three of my favourites which are : Zoella, SprinkleofGlitter and Niomi Smart
  • What was you New Year resolution and has it been a success so far?
It was something very special and personal and therefore I'm not going to share it on the internet. Sorry folks... But as soon as it becomes a success I will most definitely share it on my blog so keep your eyes peeled for that :D
  • Favourite all time quote?
I have two actually. First one: "Good things come to those who wait." Second one: "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!"
  • Do you have any weird family traditions?
My husband has introduced a new one in my life:) From the time when we got married we no longer plan our holidays, big events etc. I know sounds strange, right?! But for some reason when we plan it, it never works out so it's better for us to skip this step and just go with the flow and see where it takes us and it always works for us :)
  • What is special about the place you come from?
I come from Kyiv, Ukraine. If you've been watching the news you will probably know that at this moment in time Ukraine is going through some very rough times :( I am very saddened and I really hope that things will get better as I feel as a country it can be a real great one! I am going to leave it at that as I don't feel it's appropriate to talk about it on here. To answer the question though, for me the special thing about my home town is definitely the people and their hospitality!

  • How long have you been blogging?
For about a month.

  • Could you describe your blogging experience in one word?
EXCITING!
  • What are your plans for the near future?
I can't wait to start working. As a recent graduate I guess it's a common problem, having done a few interviews, I am still waiting for their replies but fingers crossed. However, I have more time to myself now and that's essentially why I decided to start blogging :)

That's the last question and I really hope that people that I nominate will participate as I had fun doing this post, so hopefully you will too :)

Please leave comments down below with your responses as I would love to check out your answers to my questions.
The people that I nominate to do the Liebster Award are*drums*:
*Drum beats over*....Well, guys it turns out the rest of my bloggers-followers have over 200 followers so can't tag them :( I tried finding bloggers that are under 200 but it's too difficult.
I am still going to post this and I am tagging my lovely nominees above.
Come on and join in the fun :)

Here are my 11 questions:
1. What is your favourite time of the year and why?
2. What made you do blogging?
3. Who inspires you ( in any way, e.g. to be a better person, style inspirations, do things that you never thought of)?
4. What do you like to do in your spare time?
5. Where was your most memorable holiday?
6. Do you have any siblings?
7. Are you a cook it yourself or a take away person?
8. If you could be an animal, who would you be?
9. How many languages do you speak?
10. Any plans for this summer vacation?
11. Did you skydive? If not, would you?

I really hope you will find the time to answer my questions above :)

Thank you Karun for nominating me and have a great Monday everyone:)

Sneak Pick

Hi there my lovelies!

Today has been one of those days for me.. One thing after another but the most upsetting part is that there is something wrong with my camera and the photos that I took today for my Summer Haul post are quite blurry and the light has washed me out completely ... But I could still see that the photos have came out quite nicely and that's even more upsetting. I'm having a little angry cry here in a corner. *in need of a hug*

Anyway, enough with negativity, let's concentrate on some positivity shall we? I will make sure that I'll do another photo shoot as I really want to share my new summer wardrobe with the blogging world:)

Here is a sneak peak of what to expect from my summer haul.
P.S. this photo is the only one that came out OK.
Have a nice Monday evening everyone, I'm so glad today is over haha!

It's over!

Here I am... back in London. It's finally hit me....student life is over! As much as I'm feeling happy and excited for the future, I'm also very very sad. Bournemouth town has grown into something really special for me. As a full time university student living away from home, it gave me the most needed and precious experience for life - becoming an independent adult. It of course had a lot of advantages for me, such as no pressure from my parents, nights out or nights in with a cheeky take away and making or attending house parties. I could basically do whatever I wanted without feeling the need to ask or tell my parents and it was very exciting for me! However, I also started working part time at my local Tesco branch, twice a week with working overtime whenever I could. With university, part-time job and sharing a house with other students, it suddenly wasn't as much fun as I thought it will be. Tiredness and stress started to get some toll on me after a while. All I can say, there is no rainbow without a rain ladies and gentlemen as if you didn't know that already :)
To sum up my three years VERY and I say VERY briefly, please read it below:

First of all, grocery shopping. Over time I started hating doing my weekly shop. I don't know what it was but I just didn't enjoy it any more and I STILL DON'T.
I do think it had something to do with the fact that my nearest good size supermarket was actually my workplace to and from which I had to walk for an hour there and back as I didn't have a car back then and I had no luck for people to tell me which bus goes to my house from work. How pathetic?!Thinking back, I actually can't believe it myself sometimes, walking for one hour to get to work, get through a 9 hour shift (with breaks of course), do some shopping and then walk back for an hour with heavy bags in my hands. Well, all I can say is I guess I really deserved to have a car in my life now :) However, it wasn't easy of course. I'll open a little secret to you! I passed my driving test from 7th time! I know!! It's crazy but the money that I spent on driving lessons and exams are all worth it now! So DON'T give up if you are going through the same thing at the moment. You will pass, just be calm and believe in yourself!

Secondly, living with other students. Your house mates can be either your best friends or a complete nightmare. I was so lucky and I got to be best buddies with my house mates as we all were in the same boat and decided to enjoy this crazy roller-coaster together.
Miss Sunshine
Our kitchen was a total mess most of the time but it didn't stop Gracie from cooking delicious cupcakes and cakes! *Yum*
It's not a student life without a cheeky night out in the town.
I look so creepy on this photo but I love it nonetheless! It captured a nice little moment that I can re-live every once in a while.
Dan the man! The best house mate ever!
Another cheeky night out! We studied hard but played hard too:)
Don't ask me what am I doing up there as I'm wondering that myself!

Me trying out a fairy look:)
As much fun as we had, there were also issues, not major but there were some. One of them was cleaning and keeping our house neat and tidy. I grew up in a very clean and neat environment therefore to go from that to a mess of living in a cold and dirty student house was definitely a struggle at first. I think it's something that every student goes through and unfortunately it's inevitable and you will either have to clean your house yourself most of the time or if you're lucky you will get help from others too. In my situation I guess we were all equal and we shared our cleaning duties accordingly. My advice to you would be get yourselves a white board with pens and hang it in the kitchen where you can have some sort of schedule of who is doing what and when.

Finally, missing home and parents. I'll be honest and say I spent my first  night crying in my room. I sound so childish I know but I felt very home sick and lonely but I got over it as soon as I started university and my part-time job. I had no time to be upset but then I always felt a little bit  helpless when I got ill and I would desperately call my mum and talk to her about it and would wish she was here with me.  I think no matter how old I will be, I will always feel like that as my mum is a very very special person in my life.

Overall, student life was an awesome experience for me and I wouldn't change it for a thing. It made me who I am today and I have a lot of memories that I will cherish forever. If you are about to embark on your journey of being a university student living away from home, I just want to say, don't hold back and enjoy everything that your university has to offer you ( I mean extra activities, e.g. societies, pub quizzes, day trips and conferences etc. ) because 3 years will fly by like 1 day and I think it's very important to at least have some decent memories of that experience.
Last few weeks of university( Me on the right)

I think I would have to write for at least another month to share everything that I went through throughout my 3 years therefore I'm just going to leave it at that:)

Be yourself and enjoy the roller-coaster even if it goes down at times.

My June Picks

June for me was the month where I had to figure out what type of products I am going to use during this summer. My skin is very hard to please and it tends to like different products during warm and cold months of the year, so if you have oily/ combination skin these products should help you to overcome the problem of looking shiny. Anyway, let's see what I've got here:

Dr. Nick Lowe, oil control day cream £17

Before the days when I was interested in make-up and looking after my skin, I was stupid enough not to moisturise because I always had oily skin. Oh, how wrong was I ??! ALWAYS moisturise, just in case if you didn't know already :) This oil control day cream is a great way to moisturise your skin without it feeling heavy on your face and it definitely controls my oily areas throughout the day. I love it basically! It absorbs the cream very quickly and my face feels moistened and not oily, which is very important for me.

The Body Shop, Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask, £12

I got this muddy looking mask on-line as part of a set from this range as it's cheaper that way. When I put in on, it feels that it's working, especially when I got a few spots here and there. I leave it on my face for about 15 minutes and when it dries ( you'll know it when you can't smile properly) I just rinse it off with warm water and 'voila' I have healthier looking skin in just 15 minutes.

Lush, Mask of Magnaminty £ 9.25

This mask has a special place in my heart :) First of all it can be used for multiple purposes, for example for your face and back. It calms, soothes, cleans and makes your face looking healthy and glowing. I've been using this mask for the last few weeks and been getting a lot of compliments from my friends and family for the way my skin looks. If you feel that your skin looks a little bit dull and grey than this product will do the trick! You get a decent size for the price above and I've been using it quite often and it looks like I've only just started using it. The only downside for me personally is the minty smell, at first I didn't mind it that much but now for some reason I'm not a fan of it any more but I will use it all up as it's that great!

Soap& Glory, Body Scrub £8

Smoothly moving down  *cheeky face*, I now want to talk about this beautiful thing. I was on a look out for a new body scrub and I saw this. Can I just say how pretty is the packaging and the consistency of this product? But of course it's not the only reason why it made into my June Picks! It smells like heaven and really scrubs your body like no other but in a gentle way, leaving your skin feeling soft and polished. Big advantage for me personally is that an amazing smell lingers on your skin for hours and hours after you've showered, which is always a little bonus.

Soap&Glory, Rich& Foamous £6.50

Rich& Foamous are the exact words that I would use to describe this body wash. I've seriously considered buying this because of a rich almond smell and that it can be used both for showering and taking baths.  I can enjoy multiple features of this product such as really nice smell, I can feel that it soothes my skin and I can be lazy sometimes and not use my body butter afterwards as it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth already.

I hope you found something here for yourself and be sure to comment if you have done June Favourites post yourself as I love reading them :) If not, I dare you to do it! :)

Summer Tag!!!

So it's summer here, there and everywhere. Well, not if you're in Australia at this moment in time :) But for the rest of the World the time has finally kicked in to enjoy some well deserved sunshine and all the beauty and fashion that comes with it. I recently found a blogger by the name of Emma's Beginning where she did her Summer Tag and invited everyone along to do the same if of course they want to. And so I'm one of those people who would like to join this circle :)

So let's crack on with some questions, shall we?

1. What’s your favourite summer nail polish?

When it comes to summer, I prefer to put light colours on my nails whereas in winter I tend to put darker colours. I've noticed I started to reach for the following colour ( picture below)
quite often, so it's definitely my new favourite. It is a shimmery light purple colour that I
think looks beautiful :)

2. What is your favourite lip colour this Summer?

Now.... I know I'm a girl and all that but looking at my make up storage shelf, I can honestly say I only have 3 lipsticks! How bad is that? I guess I'm just not a massive fan of lipsticks. But I made a deal with myself earlier this year that I will try to make some effort with my lips. haha! I'm hooked at the moment to this these lip sticks ( Rimmel London- picture below) but when I was in Superdrug the other week purchasing it and trying 5 different colours, I knew I could really only afford one stick at a time, you can imagine I went through hell trying to make that decision. But I finally chose one colour and I am loving it and by that I mean I wear it every day without reminding myself about my deal :D Just in case if you liked it, it's in colour '100 Give me a cuddle':

3. Show us your favourite Summer dress?

My favourite summer dress is from 2 years ago. I bought it online from Dorothy Perkins. This dress is perfect for hot/warm summer days. It doesn't make you feel sweaty and it's just a nice dress to be in when it's too warm.

4. What is your favourite Summer accessory?

My favourite accessory is my bag from Accessorize that I purchased erm....probably 4 years ago now and it's still going strong! I just love the details on there and it makes me happy from just looking at it:

5. What Summer trends are you most excited about this year?

Definitely floral prints! They are so feminine and bright, it's perfect for spring/summer time. I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull these off but I might:)

(Source New Look)

6. What is your favourite summer candle?

I don't burn any candles in summer time. Simples :) Late spring and the whole of summer are the only times when I don't burn any candles.

7. What is your favourite body spray/ perfume.

My favourite one was actually a present. It's sweet but not too overpowering and has a floral kind of smell to it. I think it's perfect for summer. It's by Narciso Rodriguez ' Essence'.

8. What is the weather like where you live in the Summer?

I live in England. That is my answer :) But we do get sunshine and quite warm weather from time to time, so it's not too bad.

9. What is your favourite thing about Summer?

My favourite thing about summer is that my skin gets soo much better! For some reason when I get more contact with the sun, I have a lot less break outs and I always look better with a bit of tan on, I mean who doesn't?

10. What are your plans for Summer vacation?

I'm not going anywhere abroad this summer but definitely going to carry on exploring the UK a bit more :) My plans are to visit Cornwall and Wales!

The End! I hope you enjoyed at least some of it:)

I would like to tag Antonella from here to do the Summer tag post and of course anyone else who wants to join in :)

Happy Summer everyone!

Summer in London City!

''Summer afternoon - summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language. ''
                                        - Henry James

I've always been a summer lover since I can remember myself. Long days and short nights meant that I could stay out and play outside with my friends for longer as me and my mum had a deal, I had to be back home until it gets dark:) I guess I could say, I was an active child when growing up, I was part of the dancing group (that soon became my everything but that's another story itself )and I would spend all of my free time during summer holidays outside, playing hide and seek, volleyball, football and looking after kittens and puppies that lived on the streets. Unfortunately in Ukraine, you can find a lot of homeless pets that was breaking my little and childish heart and yeah you guessed it, I would take them home with me :) My mum was not impressed to say the least but I do remember that one time when she actually let me keep one of the ginger kittens that was so cute!!
Summer for some reason is the time when I get a little bit nostalgic in terms of my childhood and my home town. I always want to go back and visit but during summer months, my desire to visit multiplies by a 100 :)

The weather has been so lovely here in England over the last few weeks. I feel we all need a break from the most horrific and wet autumn and winter this year. Oh yes, it was horrific. We had very strong winds and rain showers, that made a massive tree in our garden to fall down on mine and other neighbours' car! I don't want to go into too much detail but I had a sleepless night to say the least.

Now onto the point of this blog post :) Me and my other half went to London for a day for some business (sounding more important than it actually was). Anyway, after we were done with our 'business' we decided to stay and explore London:)

It was a very sunny and warm summer afternoon and so we decided to go to Hyde Park and I'm so glad we did! As soon as we entered this magical place, our nostrils were having the time of their life as roses and other flowers smelled so fresh that instantly gives you that upbeat mood. I have to say, parks in London is something and I may or may not have underestimated them? I guess just a little, yes:)

Little family of ducks :)

My current hair and make-up routine is very simple. One of the other reasons that I love summers so much! I don't put any heavy foundation or BB cream on my face and it feels very nice for my skin when I'm in the sun. During the warm months, I try and let my skin have a break after clogging it with foundations, concealers and face powders. Just in case if you're interested than here are the products that I used for this look:

Accessorize, Bejewelled Palette, £10

Wow! It turns out that I am girl from London who enjoys Rimmel London a LOT :) Well, it does the job quite well, it's not too expensive and it ticks a lot of boxes for me.

Hope you enjoyed this little adventure and I will see you soon.
